A few of my hand made Halloween decorations

I had the best picture in my head of what these should look like. They're "kinda" close to what I tried for,but I'm not finished yet. I know so many of us ETSY sellers say that an item looks better in person...it's just so hard to get the right photo. Well, these are a few of those items.

I'm very, well, wierd when it comes to others looking at anything that I make myself. "Go ahead & show them to anybody that looks at this blog" I said to myself. I thought it would make me feel just a little better...I'm not sure if I feel better yet.

There's a few boxes of things I've made, but never showed them to anyone. OK~ I've shown a few things. For example, the faux treats/magnets. Lots of views & hearts, but no sales. None! OH~ I did have an order for a small batch, but then the flood came & I was out of service for a few weeks. So,the sale never happened. But I'm still happy the gal wanted them. I'll have to look her convo up & send her a few, just as a thank you gift. Something like that made me feel so good about myself.

Oh well, I'll just try & try again. I've got to buy new supplies before I "try & try again",but when I do,I'll post those photos, too. If anyone sees them or not,at least I know that I put them on there.

If anyone is reading this blog and has a few of their own hand made Halloween creations to share w/ me,please do! I could use the inspiration & moral support.

I have lots to show for "What I Found This Week" & some salvaged pieces that I look forward to working on,but it's getting late...I'll post about that tomorrow.

Sweet Dreams!!

SHOP DISCOUNT FOR MY BLOG READERS!!

I admit it. I can't pass by a flea market, thrift store or antique store without stopping. I have 2 rooms stocked with inventory of items I just had to have at the time. I stopped at a thrift store today & I'm going on a vintage shopping trip this weekend.

But...I love it!! I can't help myself. I think of the lady that wore that vintage necklace, wonder if it was a gift from a loved one,did she only wear it on special occasions, etc. Maybe the history (or the history that I imagine) makes the items so special & hard to pass up(?).

I have these beads from a broken necklace that my Mom gave me (pictured above). Her gret uncle gave them to her & so on. I've thought of so many stories where this broken necklace is concerned. Did it make her smile when she saw it? How did it get broken? Where to did she where it to?

I don't even know what type of beads these are called. If you do,please let me know. Maybe that will give me some type of answer to my (imaginary) story.

Ok..enough about my vintage addiction for now. I've got to make room for new vintage treasure that I hope to bring back from this weekend's shopping trip. SO...I'm offering 25% off your entire purchase in my shop to anyone that follows my blog. Just become a follower to my blog & add your "blog name" in the Notes to Seller section. I'll refund the 25% by paypal. If your purchase is $50 & over, you'll also receive a box of vintage goodies.
Hope all of you have a great weekend!!
XoXo,
B.Suzanne

THE VINTAGE KITCHEN/BAKERY TREASURES I FOUND THIS WEEK!!

I get in certain moods that make me love shopping more than usual...this was one of those weeks!!! I sooo wanted to go shopping again today to buy what I had made myself pass up yesterday, but I'm doing my best to work on the computer instead.

This week, I've traveled to antique shops & various flea markets, buying quite a bit everywhere I stopped. But, I'm very happy w/ everything I found.

A few of my favorites...vintage kitchen & bakery finds. Pastry molds still in their packaging,LOTS of chocolate and/or pudding molds from Sweden, colorful serving trays im the happiest shades, the prettiest girly girl salt, pepper & sugar shaker set...believe it or not,the list goes on. And that's just the kitchen items!!!

Now I want to decorate w/ just the right touch. For that, I'll need some help. I adore Jennysbakeshop on ETSY. Her style is so recognizable & just adorable! Her blog, everydayisaholiday, shows even more of her personal style that I (like many others) love so much. So...I think I'll ask for her help in decorating w/ my vintage kitchen finds.

Now it's time to contact Jenny. I'll keep you up to date on what happens after that. Wish me luck!!

PS~ take a look at a few of the vintage kitchen finds & send your ideas!!! I'm selling some of them at my ETSY shop,The Vanity Table.
**I'm asking my customers to send a few photos, notes, etc. of how they decorate w/ any of the items in my shop & I'll post them on my blog. Also, send any links from your blogs, shops,or anything else that you'd like to show-off.**
